abstract = "The need to know the history of land cover or evolutive
trajectories of a landscape is critical to the decision-making
bodies. This type of analysis provides knowledge landscape state,
ie, if it is degraded, stable or intact, adding information to
optimize land use and/or environmental planning. For this, the
remote sensing is presented as an effective methodology due to the
ease of obtaining historical data on large swathes of land through
satellite images. Thus, this project aims to contribute on a new
change detection method, by associating a pixel-based and
object-based classifications (called hybrid change detection) as
input to identify the evolutive trajectories of land cover. The
study area corresponds to a satellite RapidEye scene, in a very
dynamic area of the state of Rio de Janeiro in recent years, as a
result of installation of a Petrochemical Complex (COMPERJ). Among
the identified trajectories and sorted by object-oriented analysis
and the use of multi-temporal descriptors, the vector
transformation pasture to anthropic, called anthropization, was
the most prevailing in the study area. Enhancements within the
same class were also identified, notably in the anthropic class
(densification of works of the petrochimical complex) and in the
urban class also called urbanization (densification of
                         domicialiares blocks).",
